BE AS IS

"Be As Is." This quote was recorded by my good friend Chris, and is wisdom that was shared by one of the Alzheimers patients, Sadie, who is blessed to have him enriching her life, just as he is blessed to have Sadie enriching his. I have taken the liberty of using the Alzheimers quotes as titles for what I will loosely call "poems," which I return to Chris, who then shares with the person who provided the quote. It's an interesting symbiosis that I am really enjoying and am now sharing with you......whomever you are.

Be as is
Don't be as was.
What was, was, and what is, is.
What is was?
Was was what to be, when was was is.
Now was is was and is is not, so be as is because was is not.
What to be?
Be as is.
What is is?
It is not was.
Was and is and is and was,
nectarines let peaches have all the fuzz.
What is is and what was was and what will be is is plus was.
Is was is was is was was.
Was is is when is was was?
Or was was, always and forever?
Or is was is merely being clever?
I am not sure nor will I declare
If was was not when is was there
So please, if you will, just BE AS IS,
Like a soda pop that still has its fizz.
Be as was or be as is, I am now not sure what was or is.
What will be, is another matter,
I just don't have the time to chatter
So once again, I say unto you,
sing me at me and sing me at you.
